Production Checklist

Before releasing your app with Signalshoot, verify each item below. These are the most common causes of production issues.

API Keys

Using the live key (fb_live_), not the test key (fb_test_), in your production buildThe key matches the correct app in Settings (check after any regeneration)The key is stored securely — not committed to a public Git repository

User IDs

user_id values are opaque (UUIDs or hashed IDs) — not sequential integers that can be guessedIf you don't need replies, consider omitting user_id entirely for anonymous feedback

Client-side security

Web apps send the API request from the backend server, not from client-side JavaScriptMobile apps: the API key is in the binary (acceptable), but ensure user_id is opaque

Retry & duplicate prevention

Submit button is disabled after tap until a response is received (prevents double-submission)Retry logic only retries on network failure (timeout, no response) — not on 4xx errors

Threaded conversations

parent_id is only set to IDs returned by a previous ingest response — never user-supplied or guessedYour app handles 404 parent_not_found gracefully (e.g., falls back to creating a new feedback)

Monitoring

Your app logs or surfaces non-200 API responses so you notice integration issues earlyYou have a plan for when the monthly limit is reached (show a message to users, queue offline, or upgrade)
